TODAY’S OPPORTUNITIES:

Sale/Info tables – N/A & Sign-upsBirchwood Lenten Meals / Soup Suppers / Worship Assistants

LENTEN WORSHIP and SUPPERS – beginning Ash Wednesday (February 14) and continuing throughout Lent (Feb 21 / 28 / Mar 7 / 14 / 21), each Wednesday we have supper from 5:15 to 6:15 followed by Worship at 6:45 p.m.  Suppers are served by various groups as fundraisers.  Please join us for these times of worship, fellowship, and good food!

LENTEN SOUP LUNCHES for BIRCHWOOD APARTMENT RESIDENTS – Peace Lutheran Church will again be providing weekly Lenten soup lunches for residents of the Birchwood Apartments in Baldwin.  The total served each week is approximately 30 people (this includes the volunteers who help serve and visit).  We are looking for volunteers who would be interested in providing “homemade” soup, bread, bars and/or also come to serve and visit with the residents each Wednesday during Lent.  We serve lunch but more importantly we take time to eat and visit with them.  The time required is very brief (approx. 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.).  If you are interested in being involved in this ministry, watch for the sign-up sheet in the narthex area.  If you have any specific questions, please contact Sharon Hauschild at 715-307-2531.  Thank you.

BAKE SALE REMINDER – Next Sunday (Feb. 18) is our next congregation bake sale.  Everyone is encouraged to participate by donating and/or buying!

NEW MEMBER CLASSES – If you are interested in joining Peace or just wondering what it means to be a member, join us for New Member classes Feb. 18 & 25 & Mar. 4.  They will start at 9:30 a.m. in the sanctuary.  If you have any questions or want to join but can’t be at the first class, please let us know (715-684-2770 or This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.).

WORLD DAY OF PRAYER - All God's Creation Is Very Good!  1:30 p.m., March 2, at Gethsemane Lutheran Church in Baldwin.  All are welcome! Please join us afterward for fellowship and treats which will be provided by the ladies of Gethsemane.  (Snow Date is March 9).

BULLETINS & ANNOUNCEMENTS – We are keeping the bulletins and announcements separate so people can take only what they need/want and then feel free to keep the announcements and take them home. (2/11)

THANK YOU – to everyone who supported the Paula Hampton benefit in so many ways.  You have truly blessed us!!  - - - Paula Hampton and Family (2/4)

THANK YOU - to everyone who visited me, sent cards, and prayed for Kathy & me during my knee replacement surgery and recovery.  Special thanks to Pastor John and the Youth on Fire kids who came and sang Christmas carols for me when they were on their Secret Santa shopping trip.  It is all appreciated very much.  May God bless all of you. - - - Wayne Miller (2/4)

THANK YOU - On behalf of Hats and Mittens.org and myself, THANK YOU very, very much for your generous support to help raise 52,000 pair of mittens and hats. Peace rose to the occasion and we delivered a total of 601 items and $262.  Hats and Mittens.org has been around for about 20 years and they provide hats and mittens to those who cannot afford to buy them.  THANK YOU!!  Gloria  (2/11)

THANK YOU – to anyone who helped in any way with the Alliance Stamp Ministry in 2017.  Over 13,000 stamps were collected, cut, and packed. They are processed by volunteers at the ASM of Fort Myers, Fl.  These stamps are sold, and the income goes to support the preparation, publication, and distribution of Spanish Sunday School materials in nine countries. Please remember - we collect stamps all year - save 1/3 to 1/2 of the envelope so the stamps get full value, and then put your envelopes in the basket by the food pantry box. - Barb Ramberg, Stamp Ministry Chairperson (715-684-2853)  (2/11)
